DHES (Direct Heat Exhaust System)
The DHES draws cool air from inside the case and exhausts warm
air outwards. This prevents the fan from recycling warm air to cool the
GPU, which increases cooling performance.
Further the DHES lowers the air temperature inside the case, because the heat
of the GPU will be carried out directly.

		06/2006 Hardware Secrets: NV Silencer 6 (Rev. 2) This is a great product. After installing our GeForce 6600 GT back to our PC we couldn’t even hear the fan working. Really amazing. Even working at a relatively low rotation, this fan produces a very strong airflow. Arctic Cooling also gives a 6-year warranty to their VGA coolers, which is really impressive. We think this product is good for both the enthusiast and the regular user. It will probably bring a better VGA overclocking experience for the enthusiast and, at the same time, will prevent your PC from overheating, as it removes hot air from your computer. Put this together with its very low noise level and you have a great product. What is also really great is that even though we took a look o­n the model targeted to GeForce FX 5700, GeForce 6200 and GeForce 6600 series, Arctic Cooling provides versions of this product to a myriad of video cards, covering virtually all video cards available o­n the market.

		11/2005 NGOHQ.com: ATI Silencer 5 I would have to say they have a winner when it comes to quiet air cooling. Not o­nly did I have an amazing card to feature the cooler o­n but even with the ATI Silencers fan speed maxed out it is barely audible and it provides excellent cooling at a good price. I highly recommend this cooler to anyone with an ATI X800 or X850 series card that wants maximum cooling performance without sacrificing your ear drums to achieve it. I can’t imagine much better temperatures with a near silent air cooled solution without turning to a water cooled solution.
		11/2005 Hardwareluxx: ATI Silencer 5 Die Leistung des Produktes kann überzeugen: In unserem Test erreichten wir mit der ATI Radeon X850XT Platinum Edition zwar nicht unter Idle Bedingungen die besten Gradzahlen (40°C), dafür blieb die R480-GPU unter Last mit 57°C am kühlsten. Dabei flüsterte die Grafikkarte weiterhin. Setzt man den Lüfter auf die vollen 2200 rpm per Lüftersteuerung, dann wird er deutlich höher, ist dann aber immer noch leiser als der Standard ATI-Fan. Hier waren dann deutliche Overclocking-Möglichkeiten gegeben, da die Leistung des Kühlkörpers deutlich stieg. Arctic Cooling gibt auch hier sechs Jahre Garantie auf das Produkt. Zu empfehlen sind deshalb die Arctic Cooling Silencer. Sobald man den richtigen Kühler für die jeweilige Karte gefunden hat, wird man mit einer wirklich hervorragenden Leistung belohnt, trotzdem bleibt der Silent-Anspruch erhalten. Unseren Award gibt es auch aufgrund des Preises, denn sie sind gleichzeitig die günstigsten Silentkühler am Markt.

Being constantly o­n top is hard, but it seems Arctic is getting good at it. 		06/2005 Extreme Computing: ATI Silencer 5 Well what can I say really, the results speak for themselves a 50 mhz increase o­n the core and 100mhz o­n the ram is not to be sniffed at. The best thing is though all this comes at no noise cost as the Arctic Cooling Ati Silencer is exactly what it says silent. Overall I left this test in no doubt this is o­ne of if not the best aftermarket coolers o­n the market. Silence and performance never really go hand in hand except for a few special products and in my view this is o­ne of them, a well thought out product that does exactly what it claims and then some… highly recommended.
		06/2005 moddingscene: ATI Silencer 1 Eins muss ich noch sagen, dass mir so etwas leises an Grafikkarten Luftkühlung noch nicht untergekommen ist. Ein größerer Lüfter und eine bessere und auch vergrößerte Kühlfläche sorgen für den richtigen Luftstrom und kühlen die Grafikkarten angemessen effizient. Alles in allem ist der Silencer sehr überzeugent. Ich kann ihn sehr empfehlen. Er verdient den Gold Award.

They have six years warranty, a clear sign of Arctic Coolings confidence in the products. They can be found between 35-39$. We definitely recommend them for a cool and quiet gaming experience.

		05/2005 CDRinfo: ATI Silencer 5 The ATI Silencer 5 lowered temperature values by 20% and with far less noise (inaudible) than the original cooling system. The fan costs €20, which is a very low price. We highly recommend it.
		05/2005 3DXtreme: ATI Silencer 5 Arctic Cooling has a wide array of products available o­n their website including Silencers for just about any GPU o­n the market. My biggest concerns with the X850XT PE were heat and noise, the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5 Revision 2 GPU Cooler turned a card with concerns into the best Video Card I’ve ever owned. If you are tired of the noise or looking to lower the heat your Video Card is generating be sure to look for an Arctic Cooling Silence to suit your needs. This is an absolutely kick ass product, I really wish ATI would look into this as an alternative to the loud and ineffective stock X850 cooler.

The Arctic-Cooling VGA Silencer is performing very well during the testing. The design of this VGA Cooler is very stylish and nice. In a well ventilated case, it does a much better job of cooling than the stock heat sink. I have to say that this may be the air cooled solution for everyone. You can run the VGA Silencer silent, and it does a very good job. Furthermore, by using it will add more overclockability to the VGA Card. Highly Recommended for this VGA Silencer from Arctic-Cooling.

		04/2005 Hardwareluxx: ATI Silencer 5 on HIS X800XL IceQ iTurbo Die HIS Redeon X800XL IceQ II iTurbo besitzt klar die leistungsfähigste Kühllösung im Testfeld. Ohne diese leistungsfähige Kühlung wäre es für HIS wohl auch nicht möglich, die Karte mit einer Übertaktungsgarantie auszustatten. Der Zalman-Kühler auf der Sapphire-Karte ist zwar vollkommen ausreichend und er ist wunderbar leise, aber seine Kühlleistung bleibt hinter der Arctic-Cooling-Lösung auf der HIS-Karte zurück. Klarer Favorit ist also die HIS Radeon X800XL IceQ II iTurbo. Sie vereint eine leistungsfähige Kühlung und sehr gute Performance aufgrund der höheren iTurbo-Taktraten mit einem leisen und angenehm arbeitenden Lüfter.
		03/2005 PC eXPerience: ATI Silencer 4 Der ATI Silencer Revision 2 von Arctic Cooling ist unserer Meinung nach der beste Allrounder unter den derzeitigen aktiven Grafikkartenkühlern. Er vereint ausgezeichnete Kühlleistungen mit hervorragender Laufruhe und stellt auch den ungeübten Schrauber vor keine wirklichen Probleme. Wer genug Platz im Gehäuse hat und Wert auf optimale Kühlung gepaart mit Ruhe im System legt, für den gibt es kaum eine Alternative. Einen weiteren Punkt sollte man ebenfalls nicht unterschätzen, den Abtransport der Grafikkartenabwärme aus dem Gehäuse um benachbarte Komponenten nicht auch noch mit der Abwärme der Grafikkarte zu belästigen.

		01/2005 PC Modding Malaysia: ATI Silencer 4 There is no doubt now that the ATI Arctic Cooler 4 is the definitive high end heatsink fan solution for the X800XT-PE series of cards. Using it allowed us to hit an all-time high clock speed for both the memory and GPU core. In addition to performance, it is extremely quiet. Even system fans and hard drives have higher decibels compared to this high performing cooler. The installation of the cooler is also very easy to do due to the fore thought that Arctic Cooling has put into it.

		11/2004 Technic 3D: ATI Silencer 4 on Mad-Moxx Beeindruckt hat uns bei der Karte der Kühler. Bei angenehmer Lautstärke erreicht die Karte damit sehr viel. Wer sich also nicht traut, Modifikationen selbst durchzuführen oder das Warten auf eine Radeon XT satt hat, liegt bei Mad-Moxx richtig. Die Karte bekommt unsere Kaufempfehlung und ist eine angenehme Alternative zur Radeon X800 XT
